Another week and another drag? Kidding, it’s all love (on top) and kindness here at I’ve Had Enough Blog. If you’re new here, welcome – if you’re a regular reader, hello again. Today we will deep dive into the reasons people give when they say they ‘Hate Beyonce’… To be honest, does anyone even hate the Queen B?

ACT ONE: HER MUSIC STYLE IS NOT FOR THEM

When it comes to many artists, a lot of the time they can build a fanbase based on their genre of music. A lot of the time, people who don’t like a certain type of genre will end up being vocal about it. Yes we all have different taste and have the freedom of speech – but it doesn’t give you a free pass to spread hate due to it.

Beyonce has solidified her position in the music industry as a leading icon, a force to be reckoned with. Her surprise releases, matched with the huge anticipation around everything she will do – is always WELL received. But many music fans are quick to jump on the hate wagon as her style is not for them, I get that we are all different and enjoy different music styles – but if you don’t like someone’s style, keep scrolling.

ACT TWO: DEEMED ‘NOT A TRUE ARTIST’

One thing I kept coming across while scanning the reasons why people hate Beyonce, is that the don’t see her as a true artist. In the sense that she is a performer, a dancer. That is all. Everything is done to build and maintain an image. They are supported by entire teams – songwriters, producers, fashion designers, make up artists, hair dressers, choreographers etc – and people are maybe getting tired of all that over-rehearsed perfection

When you look at the likes of Beyonce who has major success in the industry, there is always going to be a whole team behind her. Creating pop perfection is hard work and it takes a village for sure to ensure the wheel keeps turning.

ACT THREE: TREATED LIKE A ‘GOD’

I generally think people don’t hate her, but i think they don’t like the “God-like” portrayal of her by fans, peers and institutions alike. Some people treat her like she should actually be bowed down to and praised in a way where Jesus or God would. I think people just dont like the idea of it. If we are being honest, i don’t think she likes it much either. There isn’t really any reason to hate her, she’s worked hard to get where she has gotten, and she uses her music and platform to inspire millions. If you dont like her music thats fine, but she’s execptionally well at what she does.

ACT FOUR: “SHE’S ALL MEDIA HYPE”

When it comes to Beyonce a lot of people seem to think that she is over hyped but the media. This forceful push of her into the world and the constant bombardment of her music on radio – it makes people feel some sort of ick towards her. Many people seem to think that the media blindly favour her due to her status and connections. But in reality? She’s just a creator, a hardworking artists – out here making a living. Of course the media will push her on us, should we really be mad at that?

ACT FIVE: SHE TRIED TO TRADEMARK HER CHILDS NAME!

More noteworthy than the birth of actual royalty (sorry, Prince George) was the introduction of Blue Ivy Carter into a world that’s simply not worthy. This light in the ever-growing darkness is the essence of perfection.

I get the reason behind it, keep the name as unique and interesting. However, this fact isn’t one of my favourites and personally I can’t reason with. But it’s a bold move by Queen Bey.

IN CONCLUSION

This deep dive took me down some random rabbit holes and I’m glad I survived that. When it comes to Beyonce, with the huge impact she has in today’s music – obviously she will have many haters on her case.

When I think about it deeply, there isn’t really one specific thing that stands out as to why people truly – deeply – would hate Beyonce. Yeah her music style may not be for you and personally – I wouldn’t say I’m a huge fan myself. But what I can do is respect her and give her credit when it’s due!
