Is Taylor Swift really ‘The Better Adele’ according to Rolling Stone

As many of us know, the media has always thrived by pitting women against each other. Anything for traffic to their site to making money off of creating controversy. But this week saw the release of “The Tortured Poets Department” by taylor swift.

The Tortured Poets Department was released on April 19, 2024, during National Poetry Month.

A double album edition, subtitled The Anthology and containing 15 bonus tracks, was surprise-released two hours later on the same day.

Swift revealed the standard track list and guest features on her social media on February 6, 2024. Four physical editions of the album, each titled after and containing a bonus track, namely “The Manuscript”, “The Bolter”, “The Albatross”, and “The Black Dog”, was also be made available for purchase.

Fans and critics alike rushed to social media to flood the praise and comparisons. Many stating that it’s a great release, calm and welcomed. Many have stated that the release has been a rush project to push herself to new heights, to break her own records. Many have said that it seems to be a tactic, but sounds like everything else she has released?

However, Rolling Stone has dubbed the project “The Better Adele”…

When you think of adele, there is not much people you can or would ever compare to her. LET ALONE TAYLPR SWIFT! What! WHY!

When it comes to the two artists, especially with Taylor’s latest release – I can see what many would jump to compare the two. However, Adele has a more distinctive sound. She tells a story on a deeper level, better than most artists can do at all these days. I find it funny that this ‘reputable’ magazine wants to continue to pit women against each other in 2024!

It’s got me thinking why they felt the need to release that article at all? Is it a tactic via Swift’s team to make a controversy around it to make people rush to listen and post about it? Is it a tactic by ‘Rolling Stone’ to get clicks and controversy?

We will never get a solid answer on that, but we can all agree Adele triumphs here. And before you all start, I am a huge fan of both!

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
