As you may know by now, I work onboard some of the most amazing yachts. With this line of work comes long travel to and from home – but also around the Mediterranean. In the last year alone I have been on 10+ flights, been at sea for months at end and stuck in port in some amazing countries/cities. With this amazing job comes hardships. From bad skin, dry hair and different weather types – I have mastered what exactly I need to travel with!
These items are not only what I travel with, but staple products that I have used for a while now. I am so excited to introduce some of my favourite items.
1: Hair oil
While working on super yachts is deemed such a luxury job, it does come with hardships. While you’re working hard on your daily duties you sweat, you’re exposed to dust and hot/cold temperatures. I have never thought in using hair oils before joining the industry. That’s coming from someone who has worked in beauty retail for 4 years before joining yachting. But now it is part of my daily routine and will always remain a staple part of my routine. My hair always feels super smooth, well nourished and makes it easier to style.

My favourite way to use hair oil is to apply after my evening shower, leave to dry in and leave it in over night. For me I feel like leaving it in like that allows it to actually work. In the morning I just wash my hair and style – it has not only given me proven results, but makes my morning routine much easier.
I have recently been loving my new hair oil Edition 29 from ChesEditions London, their formulation is 100% natural and vegan. Scent: The fresh sweetness of Mandarin, bitter chocolate depth of Patchouli and floral romance of Jasmine creates a sensual and romantic scent. I would love them to launch a soap that has the same scent because it is to die for!
They come in 3 sizes which is perfect for anyone ready to try a new hair oil. 8ml perfect for travel, 30ml great for weekly uses and 50ml great value for money and perfect for anyone looking to use daily.
2: Facial Mask

Now you are probably thinking – why does he bring his masks with him and not buy them overseas. A lot of products we get in the UK are sometimes not available in the countries I travel to. Also when people think oh it will be cheaper overseas – THEY LIE. I am not someone who really follows a strict budget – but I am also not silly enough to just buy something at any cost, I am a wee bargain hunter. If it is cheaper somewhere else – I will wait to get it.
My love for L’Oreal is unmatched. I am very biased when it comes to them as a brand because I just feel like they kill lot every time. I use their moisturiser, serums, scrubs and masks! I use the blemish rescue mask as it’s perfect for my skin, I love the way it dies on the skin – it goes shiny and I can really live my avatar fantasy.
The best thing about these masks is that there are a few for different skin types and different targets. I highly recommend them to everyone! Check them out Shop All L’oreal Masks
3: comfy trousers

Now with so much travel comes so much discomfort! I love to stay comfortable when travelling and the best way to do that is to wear comfy clothing! I like dressing casual smart most times but when it comes to travelling all likes are off the table and I go straight for comfy. I do feel at times that sweat pants can be a bit too dress down, BUT I love wearing them for lounging around.
I recently discovered Sinosky Clothing and I now wear their SPECIALMAGIC Mens Trousers that are available at their Amazon shop, along with all other clothing items. I decided to try these pants as they’re made with 96% recyclable nylon & 4% spandex – meaning they’re waterproof and flexible. Making them the perfect pants to travel with. Not only that but they are super comfortable, lightweight and are very casual smart. Keeping my look stunning, yet comfy! Check out their amazon shop for all their mens, woman’s and unisex clothing!
There you have it, those are 3 main items that I cannot travel without. I wanted to create this blog to showcase some of my favourite items I have and use. The ChesEditions hair oil and L’oreal face mask are staple products that I frequently use. I would highly recommend all of these items to everyone!

Yes yes yes! Yes to all of these! I MUST have my face masks with me, my skin always tends to break out when travelling for some reason so like having my Glamglow supermud mask with me as it clears my skin right up. Also, how amazing your experiences must be working on those yachts!
